About Us
Who We Are
Mt. Diablo Business Women supports local business women, contributing to their professional growth by providing educational opportunities and networking.
Our group consists of professional business women working in many industries such as finance, technology, medicine, mental health, nonprofit, fashion, coaching, real estate, etc. Our members are both self-employed and corporate businesswomen. We have no limitation to industry or size of the business.
Our monthly meetings represent a great networking opportunity amongst members and guests. Monthly meetings rotate between lunch and dinner, and include speakers on various professional subjects.
The donations collected through raffles at our meetings are donated to Child Advocates of Contra Costa County, a Concord-based nonprofit that recruits, trains and supervises volunteers to advocate on behalf of children and youth living in foster care.

Who We Support
Each year, MDBW proudly supports a local non-profit through our monthly meetings and events. This year, we are honored to partner with Child Advocates of Contra Costa County.

As of February 2025, Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Contra Costa County is now Child Advocates of Contra Costa County. The name reflects CASA's expanded mission beyond the core CASA program, offering broader support for children and youth in the foster care system.

While CASA remains at the heart of Child Advocates of Contra Costa County's work, the organization now provides additional programs that support education, stability, and well-being. CASA Volunteer Advocates are appointed by a judge to provide one-on-one support to children in foster care, while CASA Support Volunteers, like tutors, offer consistent educational help.

Child Advocates of Contra Costa County supports abused and neglected children in foster care, helping them find permanent homes and complete their education. Their mission targets the key risk factors linked to poverty: not graduating high school, unplanned teen parenthood, and lack of employment after school. Youth in foster care face steep challenges—over 50% don’t finish high school, and 27% become parents by age 19. Through evidence-based programs and one-on-one advocacy, we work to ensure every CASA youth graduates and is prepared for a stable, successful future.

MDBW is proud to support Child Advocates of Contra Costa County in creating brighter futures—one child at a time.
