About Us

Mt. Diablo Business Women started anew in 1994, after breaking off from a national business women's group. While the national group was doing tremendous work, many of the original MDBW members felt that a locally-based group could more effectively address their needs for strengthening business relationships and building referral networks.

The founder of our group, Mary Hardeman-Schulze and other dedicated members were committed to making it work. Thanks to these loyal members, the group has overcome some rough times at the beginning, but grew to over 50 outstanding members from various industries in our community. As membership grew, so did business referrals, knowledge and partnerships.

 

Our group is committed to helping the community and making a difference. We currently support Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Contra Costa County. In previous years we have sponsored Bay Area Crisis Nursery, Wardrobe for Opportunity’s Woman of the Year, STAND! Against Domestic Violence, and Women's Initiative.
