Our Mt. Diablo Business Women members are honored to support two very wonderful charities dedicated to women in our East Bay area. Our monthly raffles are hugely successful in getting donations for these very fine organizations.

Wardrobe for Opportunity provides interviewing clothes to women who do not have the means to purchase an appropriate outfit for a job interview. Looking professional for an interview gives women the confidence needed to present a very positive image to get that job. Once employed, women can return to Wardrobe for a few more outfits to get them through the initial weeks on the job. “Pathways” is another way Wardrobe helps in the community. The “Pathways” program assists women in career pathing to properly interview and have the confidence to perform well once they get the job. Also, Wardrobe has added a new program that assists men with the right look to get that all important interview!

For a number of years, Mt Diablo Business Women has sponsored the Wardrobe for Opportunity Woman Client of the Year. Our award is given each year at the Annual Spring Luncheon. It is truly a rewarding experience for our entire group to be able to give this award to a very outstanding woman who has received help from Wardrobe!

STAND! Against Domestic Violence is another organization that we are thrilled to help. STAND! is an organization dedicated to helping individuals who are in crisis due to domestic violence. Many times, folks don’t know where to turn because of the fears associated with violence. STAND! is there to help them get through this crisis in their lives.

Our Mt Diablo Business Women are truly dedicated and proud to be good citizens in our community. We will continue working with our charities to assist where assistance is needed!
